Obituary for Ozell Hines

Ozell Hines 97 of Abilene passed away Thursday November 22nd, 2018 at his home with family by his side. Graveside services will be held Monday November 26, 2018 at 2:00pm at Elmwood Memorial Cemetery. Services entrusted to Dove Funeral Home.
Ozell was born July 12, 1921 in Roanoke Alabama to Andrew J. Hines and Clara Lee Mitchell. He received his formal education from Roanoke public Schools. Ozell enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country for several years. Ozell was Ranked as a Chief during WWII in the Pacific which was unheard of during that time. Ozell Moved to Abilene in 1945 and met the love of his life Emma Jean Hines, and the two would marry in 1956. He loved to work in the yard and he loved to shine Cars but most of all he loved his family.

Ozell was preceded in death by Wife Emma Jean Hines, both parents, son Darion Hines, 1 brother, and 3 sisters.

Left to cherish his memories are daughters, Patricia Hines, Wanda Banks and husband Robby, and Jacqlyn Hines. Sons; Charles Jones and wife Jackie, Billy Hines and wife Carolyn, Ben Hines. 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and many friends.
